This is a 4-digit mechanical tally counter (click counter). A display window on the top face shows a four-digit count, and a spring-loaded plunger set into the top of the housing advances the count by one with each press. A knurled reset knob on the side of the body turns to return all four digits to 0000.
On this IC1300 unit, the body is molded in green ABS plastic and is fitted with a metal finger loop for handheld operation; there is no base.
